Ever take out older clothes out of your closet

My sister been going through her kid's clothes taking out what don't fit anymore. Got her husband doing the same and she is also. I never really did this with my closet. So I'm trying to go through my clothes. When was the last time any of u guy's went thru your closet and took out older clothes?

Over the years we've obviously thrown out a lot of clothes, children grow, I destroy work clothes amd my wife is a woman, but we didn't get rid of them, instead we stored them in the back of a workshop, some get used for rags, the rest are being used as insulation in a room we're building, the ceiling is the children's old scratched DVDs.
