Briefs under pj or short. In bed I had a big towel spread in bed so I can sleep free from clothes so I only slept in top clothes.

when i was growing up my mom had me wear just my pj top and bottoms , if i had a tummy ache she could rub my stomach at bed time and not have the waistband of undies in the way and pressing against my tummy. seemed logical to me

I wear briefs whenever I'm wearing clothing. Now, I usually sleep nude and don't own any PJs, so no briefs at night for me.

I mean commando is pretty convenient for when it's time to go to the bathroom and do other non bathroom related activities.
