To those of you who wear earrings: have you ever had a liquidy-jelly kind of thing coming our of your holes?

Reminds me of blood plasma. I've worn these earrings on many occasions so I don't think I'm allergic to them. I've taken them out but I can't find info about that on the internet

That is called puss. It is an indication of infection.

@SW-User Uh, are you serious?

@Melpomene Yeppers. Go see a doctor.

@SW-User Thank you
You have to regularly clean your earring holes. There is always isopropyl alcohol which stings like a bugger. Piercing places sell good quality milder antiseptics. And you have to clean your earrings too before putting them in and after taking them out. Earrings get so dirty. Good quality earrings are better too.

@PoetryNEmotion Thank you!
@Melpomene If it is a simple infection you can use an over the counter medication. A cream, antiseptic is fine. Do not use hydrogen peroxide. It hurts healthy tissue too. If you are really worried, you can see your family doctor.

I would recommend thoroughly soaking a cotton ball with peroxide. Stretch your earlobe and squeeze the peroxide into the site of the piercing. If it "foams" (white bubbles), that's a sign of it killing infection.
