Do you wear a hat in the winter? What is your favorite type of hat to wear?

Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
I don’t even wear a coat in the winter. I hate feeling confined.
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
Awwww! I love it!! That’s pretty much me! 😁@xixgun

@Keepitsimple We've had mild winters the past few years and I've worn short jackets but I have a feeling I'll be wearing my long winter coat this winter quite a bit, have worn it about 5 times since I bought it in 2011.

I’m the worst, it could be -5 and I just run in and out of stores. I know one day I ll regret it but I do keep blankets in the car and coat in trunk just in case.@cherokeepatti

@SW-User you need earmuffs if you get ear aches...painful.

Hats are not optional here unless you have some kind of parka. I like beanies, my husband has this gigantic ushanka like he lives in Novosibirsk or something.

I have a parka with an attached hood. I carry a fleece headband for really brutal weather.

@Byron8by7 I'm looking on Amazon at the balaclavas and the beanies with tubular fleeced-lined scarves trying to decide which would be better
Byron8by7 · M
@cherokeepatti I don't spend that much time outside, so I don't need anything that extensive for coverage. My Lands's End parka has Thinsulate insulation and a fleece lining. When I cinch it up, it is very warm. I often have to loosen it or I overheat.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Byron8by7 I don't either, looking to buy for someone else. Got the boy a furry looking wolf hat for Silly Hat day at school and he's been wearing it this week with his hood pulled up over it. A girl on the bus tried to take it away yesterday.

I picked up a fleece lined hat made with yak's wool at a Nepalese restaurant several years ago. It is SO warm, I'll never give it up.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Starcrossed Nothing beats real wool for warmth, it insulates even when it gets wet.
TheConstantGardener · 56-60, M
I do. Either a beanie, a bobble or a bucket hat...Depending on the weather.
Salix75 · 46-50, F
it's a necessity here! I have this petrol green peaked hat I love
philjames53 · 61-69, M

MarineBob · 56-60, M
