i do it always , it looks good my family says it looks ghetto😅 , to me it looks normal, its fine

With a casual dress, that can work -- shirt dress, sun dress, etc. You can find some stylish non-athletic looking sneakers, too, that provide comfort in coordinating colors, so that can work well.

I wear Converse high tops with skirts all the time...👍
