I Will Not Apologize For Doing The Right Thing

I've always tried to do the right thing, no matter what the consequences. I have never stolen, lied about anything serious (only white lies in order to not hurt someone's feelings), never killed, never intentionally harmed any person or animal. Never cheated, never tried to abuse any government system for my own benefit. I've followed all the rules and have never even had so much as a parking ticket.

I will admit that doing the right thing has not always served me well. There have been numerous times that I got screwed over by the people I tried to do right by. I've been passed over for promotion in situations where I did the right thing and someone else just did what they had to do to get to the top. It doesn't always pay to be honorable. But I sleep better at night and walk around with a clean conscience.
