I Am Enjoying Being A Muslim

A sin can never be turned into obedience by the "good intention".

We should not wonder why God doesn't grant all our wishes immediately, but rather we should give thanks that He doesn't punish us immediately for all of our mistakes. God is the Most Merciful. I learned that the best of sinners are those who repent.

The one who repents from a sin is like the one who has not committed a sin. Every righteous person has a past, and every sinner has a future.

Sins to a heart are like oil drops on a cloth—unless we wash it immediately and vigorously, it will permanently stain.

That's nonsense

@softspokenman I believe in God, because it makes more sense to me. And I believe that God has no gender, but language can be so limited that we have no other option but to use "He".

@Madeleine I asked you way before you asked me, in fact it was the first thing I asked. I asked the second the quote was brought up, yet you ignored it and brought up oppression.

"If Muhammad had destroyed suppose oppression, why should making people follow his god be needed?" 17 hours ago. Of which rather than answering my question you asked why they were expelled. And I answered that it was because he offended their gods. I then later said 'you have still not told me how making his 'oppressors' worship his god is defending himself', so stop dodging my question.

@pianoplayingsteve The ayah says:
[Quran 2:193]
"And fight them until there is no oppression, and worship becomes devoted to God alone. But if they cease, then let there be no hostility except against the oppressors."
There's no indication here to "force" the unbelievers to worship God alone, but refers to the state of affairs wherein the object of obedience is someone other than God. The unbelievers of Mecca did not allow Muslims to practice their religion, so God here is ordering the Muslims to fight for their right. Plus, the prophet's message is to invite people to worship God alone, so if they responded to it positively, then it's a success.

You said that the prophet (peace be upon him) and his followers were expelled from Mecca because they were murderers, prove it.

@dunpender: Islam teaches honesty, care for the poor and the needy, giving full rights to parents and relatives. It teaches modesty and how to be clean in all aspects. It teaches how earn money in a pure way without cheating or deceiving. It encourages education and building society .. etc

If all of these teachings and principles don't make you civilized, I don't want to be one.

@Yancey I respect your belief. My question was not to judge, but to understand. For me, I don't think it's merely a belief, it requires logic and using the intellect as well.

@Yancey I understand. I also can't imagine myself not believing in God, it's difficult to force yourself to accept certain ideas that don't make sense to you. For example, for me, the idea that the world came to existence out of nothing is against my intellect.

We all believe what we hear. God don't spoke of any such things, whatever you believe was been crafted by man. .
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@ashrock1990 What makes you so sure?
pianoplayingsteve · 31-35, M
But then what of lying being encouraged if it propagates islam?
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@pianoplayingsteve I'm not talking about Islamic scholars. I'm talking about Islam. The book of authority of Islam is the Quran, and it's what God will judge us by. Islamic scholars are people who have their own opinions, but they are not necessarily right and we are not required to follow their opinions.
pianoplayingsteve · 31-35, M
@Madeleine Okay. Then what of people that executed people at the command of muhammad?
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@pianoplayingsteve Give me an example.
