I Am Enjoying Being A Muslim

[Quran 2:152]
"So remember Me; I will remember you."
I learned to never forget the remembrance of God. Constantly. If I am facing stress, hardship, grieve then this will be removed and peace will be brought in my heart when I remember God. We, believers, should keep remembering God at all the times no matter where we are and in what condition we are. Surely God remembers those who remember God.

If we are believers, then we should keep our goal to remind ourselves firstly and others about the greatness of God and boost our faith in Islam. Verily reminder benefits the believers. If we are looking for peace and blessings of God then let's keep our tongues busy with the remembrance of God. I cannot buy peace for my heart with money. Peace of heart is found in the remembrance of God. So I will remember God and get peace.
That is really nice.

I especially like "If I am facing stress, hardship, grieve, then this will be removed and peace will be brought in my heart when I remember God."

@SW-User I expected a proper answer to my question.. but anyways.

The two verses you mentioned are taken from surah 8 of the Quran, which is named al-Anfal (Battle Gains). This whole surah was dedicated to describe the Battle of Badr: The first battle took place between Muslims and the disbelievers of Mecca. You can research the historical account of this battle, but if you want.. I can talk about it here. I don't mind.

Therefore, here are the verses you mentioned [Quran 8:55-56]:
The worst creatures in the sight of God are those who reject Him and will not believe; who, whenever you [Prophet] make a treaty with them, break it, for they have no fear of God.
Those verses talk about the disbelievers of Mecca who fought the Muslims for many years and drove them out of their homes.. tortured and killed many of them. The word Who suggests that this verse was not meant for all disbelievers. It's only those who made treaty with the prophet, peace be upon him, and broke it.

It's not a general verse. Actually, there's no generalization in the Quran. Whenever God talks about a group of people, you will find the next verse singling out some of them who are different. Here are some examples:

[Quran 11:9-11]
How desperate and ungrateful man becomes when We let him taste Our mercy and then withhold it! And if We let him taste mercy after some harm has touched him, he is sure to say, ‘Misfortune has gone away from me.’ He becomes exultant and boastful. Not so those who are steadfast and do good deeds: they will have forgiveness and a great reward.
[Quran 113]
By the declining day, man is [deep] in loss, except for those who believe, do good deeds, urge one another to the truth, and urge one another to steadfastness.
There's a clear cut distinguish in the Quran between disbelievers who fight Muslims and those who are peaceful.

[Quran 60:8-9]
And He (God) does not forbid you to deal kindly and justly with anyone who has not fought you for your faith or driven you out of your homes: God loves the just. But God forbids you to take as allies those who have fought against you for your faith, driven you out of your homes, and helped others to drive you out: any of you who take them as allies will truly be wrongdoers.
Good for you, but how does it feel to have your religion hijacked by a bunch killer clown psychopaths, who uses it to cause a bloodbath, raping and killing in the name of your god ?

@Inquisator I believe it's foolish to fall for such propaganda.
Inquisator · M
@Madeleine propaganda from who? It a solid fact that a people who claims to be muslims and follow the quran is raping and torturing innocent people.
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@Inquisator When you believe something about a religion, and you don't bother to look up the truth. You are falling for a propaganda. Islam is a great religion and it promotes high values. Don't give me a small % of people as an example. It's just a pathetic argument.

I'm glad that you're happy, but don't expect me to convert.

@xixgun I present what I believe is the Truth. It's your choice to choose.
