I Am Enjoying Being A Muslim

Allah the Exalted loves them who forgo worldly life, the Angels love them who reject the vices, and the people love them who give up greediness in respect of others.

Greed pushes people to an extent where they become inhuman. It makes them forget about others and they start collecting as much as possible for themselves. I learned that miserliness, cowardice, and greed appear to be different wicked qualities but they all arise from the same evil mentality of having no faith and no trust in Allah. Greed and faith never co-exist in the human heart.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
“Your rivalry in the accumulation of wealth diverts your minds.”
[Quran 4:128]
"Souls are prone to avarice; yet if you do what is good, and practice piety—Allah is Cognizant of what you do."
Why dont people translate the word Allah into English? Seems weird you'd write the entire Qur'an in English but the one word you don't translate is God

@IAmJess Thank you for following our conversation, and I'm happy to have you part of it, and the same goes to Qwerty14.

Yes, what you said was true. My point was Paul was one of the earliest authors of the Bible, but not the only one.
@Madeleine Okay thanks. I don't know even a small fraction of what you two do so I'm happy just paying attention here. I grew up Catholic and went to "CCD" (religion classes) for years, but we don't really go to church much anymore.

I do want to say that I love your tone and attitude and overall openness here. Most people can't talk about religion passed two comments without namecalling and hatred spilling into the conversation. Thank you.

@IAmJess Thank you sweetheart. It's a learning process for me and it's just a joy to have these conversations with open minded people.

I saw the cricket players in the park bowing and praying today on my walk back from work, and it was the most beautiful part of my day. I'm Christian, but would it be wrong to pray with them?
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@InvictusIndigo No, it's not wrong. You believe in God and that what matters. God the Creator is our God. All of us.

If he,didn't want humans to have worldly lives he would have not put them here . think about it.
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@Abbenthewarwolf Jesus (peace be upon him) never claimed divinity.
Abbenthewarwolf · 18-21, M
@Madeleine didn't have to BECAUSE he was divine. Ma'am. I Love studying religions. And Islam is one of my favorites..I didn't mean to offend you, forgive me if I did, the WORLD is Crazy and all religion has it heretics all is at each other's throats wanting to kill one another. And that's the way it has been since day one. The human specie is an very wicked entity. That shall not continue. And don't deserve to. I'm just passing through. A seeker of the WAY. On a path that has heart..God bless you. Enjoy your day.peace.

I enjoy bacon!!!
@AlphaCuckTX Thanks for the summary of your religious studies, but that was not really my question. However, since you are so well read on various faiths and philosophies, do any of them speak of being kind to one another? Do any of them speak of holding love in your heart?

I only came across Madeleine's profile today because she is having a really interesting chat with another of my friends, but she seems like a genuinely kind and loving soul. Why you would randomly slap her in the face like this is beyond me. And it is certainly not in keeping with Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism, or Islam (I don't know about the others you mentioned).
AlphaCuckTX · 56-60, M
Most religions talk of kindness, few actually practice it in reality.
The higher one goes in religions hierarchy the more petty and one-sided the leaders seem to be.
The major religious groups that you mentioned are all more concerned with greed & oppression than their followers.
If I were to pick the ones that do talk of kindness towards others and practice it on a daily basis. I would have to go with Buddism and paganism.
Personally I am Catholic, but I rarely practice it, and if I do feel burdened by anything, I can take advantage of confession. I am rarely burdened by anything.
Madeline is one follower of Islam out of millions, just as i am one follower of Catholicism out of millions. Neither of us is a demographic. As for my statement, it is one of fact, to be interpreted individually.

@AlphaCuckTX The message of the Quran is not exclusively for Muslims. It's for humanity at large.
