I Am Enjoying Being A Muslim

I have a feeling that 2018 is going to be an amazing progress year for all of us.

We often wonder why God gives and takes, constricts and expands. What we forget is that human beings understand things by their opposites. Without dark, we can’t understand light. Without hardship, we wouldn’t experience ease. Without the existence of deprivation and loss, we couldn’t grasp the need for gratitude or the virtue of patience. And without separation, we wouldn’t taste the sweetness of reunion. Glory be to the one who gives—even when He takes. Maybe the brokenness comes to teach me how to kneel. Stop trying to be strong. I cry, to heal. I feel, to stay human.

[big]Sometimes we search so hard for words.[/big] We look for a way to interpret the language of this heart and the unspoken bond we feel. But in the end we are left with nothing but silence. And deep down we hope it’s understood. There’s something amazing about this life. The very same worldly attribute that causes me pain is also what gives me relief: Nothing here lasts. What does that mean? It means that the breathtakingly beautiful rose in my vase will wither tomorrow. It means that my youth will neglect me. But it also means that the sadness I feel today will change tomorrow. My pain will die. My laughter won’t last forever but neither will my tears. We say this life isn’t perfect. And it isn’t. It isn’t perfectly good. But, it also isn’t perfectly bad, either.

Time of difficulty test our faith, our fortitude and our strength. During these times, the level of our faith becomes manifest.

And God created humans that way. Meaning, if God is all-powerful, then he willingly screwed us in a way that forces us to only understand shit through the opposites.

AKA: There wouldn't be any purpose for pain if God had chosen to give humans the understanding without having to experience pain.

@Madeleine As I said. If there is a God, then he's a fucking douchebag who allows 2 year old babies to get raped and murdered for no good reason--and, therefore, he is no God worth worship.

Or, he's not powerful enough to do anything about it. Or, he just doesn't care.

Those are the only rational conclusions, due to the existence of human suffering.

Or, do you know of the reason God approves of 2 year old babies getting raped and murdered in various brutal ways? Which I assure you happens.

And either way, you believe that the universe came from nothing. Or always existed, which is exactly what scientists believe. Except scientists don't claim absolute knowledge. Somehow it makes sense when you say it, but it doesn't when they do?

And either way, the universe is under no obligation to make sense, to you.

@Tatsumi Who said that God allows rape? It's clear from the Quran that it is a major sin and someone who commits rape will be held accountable on the day of judgement. Plus, the punishment of rape in the Quran is execution. It's the law of God. It's justice. Yet, people refuse to enforce justice on earth and take their own crimes as justification to disbelieve in their Creator.

This life is a test. God gave us the freedom to make decisions, and we will be held accountable for our sins and mistakes, unless we sincerely repent and improve ourselves as human beings. Our purpose is to live this life and purify ourselves to meet God with sound hearts.

When you make mistakes, does God punish you immediately? No. So when a rapist commits his hideous crime, doesn't mean that God allows it, it means that this person was given the freedom to act, and he will be held accountable for it.

[Quran 35:45]
If God were to punish the people for what they have earned, He would not leave a single living creature on its [the earth] surface. But He defers them until a stated time. Then, when their time has arrived—God is Observant of His creatures.
@Tatsumi God's greatest gift to each individual is free will. We all have a free will to choose him or not. For him to prevent evil or good is to deny that person free will, which He will not do. So evil occurs, not by God's choice, but by the exercise of a decision by a person.

As to scientists, if one claimed absolute knowledge, they would lose their status as a scientist. it is not their job to claim absolute knowledge, it is their job to continually question why!

@Pianist1234 This theme can be found throughout the Quran. It's not mentioned in a specific passage or verse. It's a conclusion that you get when study the book.
