I've spent most of my life on my own. I've lived here and there, picking up and moving on when the time felt right. You see the same people in different bodies and the same jobs that all play out the same. When your alone (not feeling lonely, but literally alone) it builds up on you and all these similar things, turn to similar days. Eventually every day feels the same and purpose seems to fade into nothing.
Say hi to Tank. I came across this little stink-butt; who somehow found a way to break through the monotony of every day and bring a bit of joy to my world. Tank didn't really have a tail, just a little knub. When he would be fussy or didn't get his way, he would pout and that little knub would start to wiggle. It was impossible to keep a stern face.
I've always tried to find a silver-lining in everything that happens. I like to think, that the loss of my best friend was so destructive because I had found an equal amount of happiness. Other parts of my tries to reason that our whole encounter was just some cruel joke played upon me, maybe karma for me from another life. All I know is that I miss you buddy.
