A simple dream of innocence
A memory of long ago
Polished by the passing years
With thoughts that are aglow

And like a flower under glass
Protected from the years
The years that rolled right by us
While we faced all of our fears

Those memories just sit there
As golden as the sun
No stains, and still undamaged
By life's pathways that we've run
