I Am Venting

I just gave my Mother-in-law's dogs a bath and the poor things are covered in fleas. 😡 She won't spend a dime on flea control for them, but she sure don't hesitate to keep herself stocked up with cartons of cigarettes, lottery tickets, and junk from consignment shops.

Also, her elderly dog has growths (hard and soft) all over her body and my MIL wont take her to the vet. Some people should be BANNED from owning animals!!!

OMG that’s so so sad my brother in law is the same!! Our dog and four cats get de-flead every month and we use expensive stuff too!!

@LittleTinks we use a Seresto collar on our dog and it works amazingly. No fleas or ticks for 8 months. They're $50 per collar but they're worth it.

@JarJarBoom we've told her. We've argued with her, we've threatened her, and I've even gone so far as to contact local authorities about it. But this is a rural swamp shithole in Texas and the animal welfare laws are very lax. Basically there's nothing they will do as long as the animals have food, water, and shelter.
