I Am Venting

Why is it necessary to participate in celebrations? And why does it have to be dancing. I just don't like dancing. Why can't family members accept that after all these years?! I'm an introvert, I don't like parties. Just agreeing to come to a party is a big deal, why do I have to dance too?

If you enjoy dancing, dance. I enjoy standing in a corner, so let me stand. Your dancing becomes a torture for me, what's the point of such celebration? Do I ever force you to sit silently with me just coz I enjoy it?

And then you wonder why I cancel plans for parties and going out!!
This is one of the reasons I hate New Year's eve.

Why can't I celebrate in my own way by sipping hot chocolate and reading my fav. book cozily in bed? That's a grand celebration for me!
My family members would never understand that. *sigh*
