At different times and situations in our lives we protect ourselves from the things that wound us.

One of my inspirations is Byron Katie. She has a wonderful way of helping folks like ourselves to be OK with who we are. One of her questions made a big difference in my life:

🤗 Same! You get so used to just saying you're 'ok' regardless of how you really feel.

Usually people dont admit to being sick, I know I dont. Not sure why either

People wouldn't ask unless they felt that something was off .... we're not that invisible.

Yep and sometimes it's better like that because people ask annoying questions... Too

Internal fear will do this.
Fear such as :
Fear of rejection
Fear of failure
Fear of been alone
Then build up your worth of self, your inner anchor. Also forgive your self for all the times you have let you down.
