I Always Say Im OK Even When Im Not

I do the same thing. Sometimes for the reason you mentioned, sometimes because I just don't want to talk about it. I know I get upset over silly things. I don't need anyone pointing it out to me.

Maybe you're like me. When I say that, some of it is pride, some is wanting to reassure anyone kind enough to care and some of it is talking to myself; if I say it, maybe I can start to believe it.

Yeah big problem...but I have it too. However I do it sometimes because I don t think they can help me anyway

That's a normal.. Avoidance tactic I think

The aftermath for me is to close my room door and cry it out.

"I'll think about it tomorrow"

I think pride does play into it a bit. But mostly i think it comes from a place of hurt and hoping someone will care enough to see past it. Another is self preservation, as in I can take care of myself - thanks but no thanks - you've done enough sort of thing

no ridiculous - very giving - and self sacrificing
