I Went to An Ivy League College

I did. It was challenging, and in the end I believe I would have done better had they just given me the diploma and let me go out into the wild. Not because the education wasn't excellent- it was- but because I'm best motivated by things that colleges and universities can't provide.
People put too much importance on the college experience. A degree is a tool you use to get you started in the industry that you might want to be in. It's not the key to riches...

@Notmesam Or if you can skip a bunch of rungs and become senior management right out of college, which (if you have the right connections) does happen in certain fields (life is strange sometimes)
@ivash Lol that's very rare, unless daddy owns the company...

@Notmesam If you stay in the West it is, but if you go to the rest of the world it actually isn't that hard, I've seen a lot of people do it already. In several part of the world there many people almost idolize degrees from top colleges, and if one's connections are good there is an easy path to the top. Especially the graduates who knows (and can hook people up with) people from Silicon Valley. That's playing on the easiest of modes.

@ivash I asked because I'm debating about going to school this semester.. I am looking to start my third business this winter and need start up money and was looking to get student loans

@LmaoDaily I don't really know how student loans work (full rider), but I'm assuming you can't use them to pay for a start up business (doesn't the bank directly pay the school?)

@ivash You can get all different kinds of student loans..I don't need much money because I have lots of what I need already
