"You're the Love" (1978) – Seals and Crofts [I Like 70's Music]

[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4VMd7VFKV8]

Lovely disco-flavored song by the soft rock duo, Seals and Crofts (Jim Seals and Dash Crofts).

“You’re the Love” reached #18 on the US singles chart and #8 on the Canadian singles chart. The song did better on the Adult Contemporary chart in both the US (#2) and Canada (#5).

It was the last song by Seals and Crofts to make the Top 40.

And today Jim Seals turns 79 years old. Happy birthday to Mr. Seals.

@Vivaci Glad you like it, dear. Such a nice song, yet it's hardly ever played anymore.
@Rutterman Have you noticed how there were so many great bands n singers in the 70s...Vs these days? I mean then there were so many that you didn't know which one to pick...what a contrast! 😆

@Vivaci Yes. That's exactly why I post a lot of songs from the '70s. It was the golden age of rock and pop music as far as I'm concerned. Today's music is boring and uninspiring in comparison and I dislike most of it.
@Rutterman Today's music sells vulgarity mostly...and everyone is too dolled up...

Then there are good singers like Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, and John Legend, but still not enough. I wish they would just stop adding rap to every song there is out there. 😖🔫

(I don't think this water gun is going to do the job, but whatever!) 🤭

@Vivaci There's also a certain sameness to a lot of the music now. It's as if people's creative juices stopped flowing a generation ago. But there are exceptions, of course. And most rap is crap. Even the late, great Ray Charles didn't like it.

Haha. I think our emoji Second Amendment rights were violated with the removal of the handgun emoji. 😆
@Rutterman A lot of class has been replaced by crass indeed...even NY or SF don't have those hubs where artists used to meet and create great music. Jazz has practically gone extinct.

Wtf...they have the sense to quickly change these emojis, but still have gun laws. 😂 Where are we going as a generation? 😅

@Vivaci I think we're all doomed! 😱
@Rutterman blah blah blah

@Vivaci 😲 I believe you would. 😦
@Rutterman Evil man! 😅

@Vivaci I not be evil. I be a righteous man. 😇 🤪 🙃
@Rutterman That you are, darling...😘🤗
