I Have a Disability
Prosopagnosia is a disorder that causes trouble in recognizing faces. Side by side, yeah I can tell. But separate faces by a bit of time and distance and I become very dependent on visually identifying people by hair styles. My case is kind of minor, but every now and then it really catches me off guard as to how bad it is. Example, the last season of Gotham they had a new character. The show acted like I should already understand who this character was supposed to be.

Let us rewind and look at one of the main characters for a moment. Young Bruce Wayne. He looks like this...

That first image was supposed to be a clone. I was supposed to recognize the same actor as Bruce Wayne with different hair length and I could not. I was beating myself up trying to figure out who this mystery figure was supposed to be for several episodes before I was able to figure it out.
The show doing that to me now? Black Lightning. Dude has two daughters. I swear they change their hair style for every scene and I have to figure out 'how am I supposed to know this girl' over and over again...
