I Love Art

The Baroque era is my favorite time period for art, music, and literature. The Renaissance is a close second. Can't say I'm a fan of anything after Dali, though. Modern art just seems so... empty.

lol! I lived in NY for a while as well and hated it. :P I wouldn't say it's [i]all[/i] retarded - the concepts and ideas behind cubism and all those movements are great, just poorly executed.

@Azrael4321: That's true. I'm not sure when the "just b/c you can't understand it, that doesn't mean it's bad" movement started, but it is quite annoying. I personally think good art more less ended after the Luminists/Hudson River School. Haven't seen much worthwhile work since Thomas Cole and Frederic Church, sadly.

It does! Vivaldi's 'La Folia' is a personal favorite. There is a rendition of it on Youtube that I just love.

Just lovely! I forgot to state that I really love Baroque that is heavy on the harpsichord. I'm listening to now Bach - Brandenburg Concerto Number 5.
