@Seventeen no, we made a round layer cake (single layer), froze it, scooped ice cream into a bowl where the top fit on the round cake, made meringue topping to frost it, put the cake on a wooden board, took the ice cream out & topped the cake, and frosted it with the meringue, which helps insulate the ice cream to keep it from melting. And then some type of heated liquor poured over the top and lit on fire.
