I Don't Fear Death

I worry about those I will be leaving behind, and how they would pick up the pieces when I die.

I just fear how loud the party will get when I am gone and whether the police will be called.
I'm with you on that. And, not only do I not fear death, I'm looking forward to it.

I don't fear death because I am a woman of faith. In the Bible Paul says that to be dead in our bodies is to be alive in Jesus Christ.

I admit that in spite of my faith, I do fear dying which can sometimes be painful and I am a sissy about physical pain. Also, dying is not something that I have done yet and the unknown is always potentially scary.

That is probably the worst thing about mortality, the loved ones and friends who are left behind. I wouldn't want anyone to be left worrying about me or wondering what happened to me, though sadly things sometimes happen unexpectedly and we don't always have a chance to say goodbye.

I feel the same. Death is inevitable and bound to happen sooner or later. So why fear it in the first place?

Same- I'm perfectly fine if it is my time - I fear only the pain of dying.

Beyond that, I only would worry for my children. Others would be sad, maybe, but they'd be okay soon enough.

Which is why the pre-planned funeral business exists

That's exactly what scares me.
