I Have Worn A Very Short Skirt

Sort of dresses we used to wear back in the heyday of the miniskirt. Sure we looked dead cute! Those days are long passed for me but they were fun!

I loved mini skirts.Every young woman seemed be wearing in them when i was growing up.

Now in the 21st century both men and women can choose between pants, shorts, dresses and skirts. Sure beats the gender distinctions that existed during the last century. 😊

Oh yes...my wife (girlfriend back then) always wore dresses...I loved it...especially her summer dresses. Now it's jeans and pants for most girls. My wife still likes dresses and the attention she receives...so do I :) D.C.

I reached puberty in the 1960s when miniskirts were very popular. As a result, legs became the first thing that really excited me about girls.
I loved to see a nice pair of legs in a short skirt or dress, not too short, just a good few inches above the knee.
I remember it being really sexy to be on a date, if a girl wore a minidress or miniskirt.

Legs that went all the way up and started getting cheeky!

Those were fun days...especially when the cutest girl in my class sat directly across from me. She wore the shortest skirts. When she sat down, little was left to the imagination. Hard to concentrate on English when I had that view.

i had a couple of similar girls in my class, they made by day....

Fashions have a habit of coming around again, BRING BACK THE MINI!!!!!!!
devonman · 61-69, M
Plenty of very short skirts in the UK on a Saturday night.Far shorter than in the 60's

and fun for those of us who simply stood and stared. I still relish the memory of following a particularly attractive young girl friend (sadly platonic) in her fashionable miniskirt up a steep staircase to her apartment off the Finchley Road
jackcros · 70-79, M
Following girls in minis up the stairs to the upper deck of a London bus always brightened the dreariest day.

"....but they were fun!"

Certainly were for we males! Still are: the miniskirt disappeared for a time but it's back for quite a while now.
kaf9292 · 80-89, M
@ArishMell And they are so comfortable to wear. We males wear them too.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@kaf9292
Yes - I do, though only occasionally.
Normanwestie · 61-69, M
In answer to my Q why is it called a mini? The lady who designed was Mary Quant & she named it the "Mini" after her favourite car
jennypenny · 70-79, F
Mini means small. The skirt is short.
Normanwestie · 61-69, M
Yes it does mean small but it could have been called anything meaning short, small, micro, even pelmet she chose the moniker mini because of the car. I think she chose well as the skirt & the car are still made
Longlegs2014 · 61-69, M
Ah, the mini and micro-mini. Let us not forget the hot pants and go-go boots either ;-)

Reader12 · 51-55, M

These were the times that set the trends of future fashions
Pop0159 · 61-69, M
I remember those .. when they were worn in masses ...
fddlpej · 61-69, M
I think it depends on who you are with.

kaf9292 · 80-89, M
Go for comfort. You are never too old to wear a miniskirt unless your legs are a mass of varicose veins and blubber.
Normanwestie · 61-69, M
Does anyone know why it is called a mini?
jennypenny · 70-79, F
Because it is mini!
