I Have Worn A Very Short Skirt

When I was at school in the 1960s the miniskirt was all the rage and we used to try and wear our school skirts as short as possible. Unfortunately our teachers didn't share our fashion sense so quite a few of us ended up in trouble for it.
It was a sort of game we played with our teachers - how much (or little!) we could get away with. The fact that we had to bend over for the slipper (or even the cane) when we were caught once too often didn't deter us too much, although it did make us more careful.
Of course, most of us had parents who were not sympathetic either to their daughters' fashion instincts, especially when we spoiled our school skirts by rolling them up at the waist. The fact that I was 16 did not stop my mother from putting me over her knee, pulling my knickers down and tanning my bum when she discovered what rolling had done to my school skirt.
Sometimes fashion has its price!
