I Am Glad People Can't Read My Thoughts

Does anyone else feel offended that they are not allowed to offend anyone. Everything is subjective so what offends one person may not offend another, and don't get me wrong I don't actively seek opportunities to offend anyone but it has now got to the point that society is afraid to have freedom of speech because some idiots out there take the whole 'I feel offended/ oppressed/ mind raped' thing so far. I'm getting kinda fed up that I have to watch every word that comes out of my mouth, fucking sugar-coating shit all the time, just because some people can't handle anything that resembles any form of criticism (even the constructive kind). Don't we teach children that if someone says something unkind, to just ignore it? At what age did that become irrelevant?

Jackson55 very true and this is gonna sound funny, but just yesterday, my boyfriend told me about this chick from work was making comments about how a lot of guys want to get with her and one of the male co-workers walked by and said "No offense, sweetie, but you've gotta lose a few pounds" and she started yelling rape at the top of her lungs. When they calmed her down, they asked why she had said that and she replied with "I feel like he raped me with his words". Seriously? People are fucking stupid.

It doesn't matter if she's over weight or not, she must be sensitive about it. Or she wouldn't react like she does. The guy was wrong for making the comment and she was wrong for over reacting. That kind of stuff can get you fired. Sexual harassment cases start just like that. No body wins.

Wow, I've never encountered something lie that. I work around many women, mostly much younger than me. And yeah, one has to be careful what you say in a office inviroment. That's not the kind of stuff you say to a woman but she did overact alittle.

Some people are offended by almost anything you might say or think now. You're right, anything you say is taken as criticism and they and it offends someone.

I get that, but I find it totally unnecessary. Some things aren't really meant to be said/done towards them and they make a big deal of things.

People are very thinned skinned now days, many want to be victoms of some kind of abuse.

Yeah, but they say she's a total bitch with people, so I really see no problem. She actually is a little over weight, but she's beautiful. It's just the cockyness.
