I Have Strange Dreams
I had a nightmare that there were a whole bunch of giant snakes living in a well under my room. They broke out and started a bloody carnage.

no offense, but that doesn't seem very strange to me. it fits the whole "monster(s) live in a dark place, and they attack me" bit

Google a dream dictionary snakes and the well. look at the meanings. your subconscious is trying to tell you something

Probably shoggoth larva that looked like snakes. I'd stay away from anyone who moves oddly or glows for the next few weeks.
