I Like Horror Movies

I enjoy horror movies even though I'm scared of watching them. It's like self-inflicted stress and psychological trauma. Lol

I'd watch any, no matter the language. (I studied film and animation. We have one class where we watch lots of movies and then right reports on it) I have few all time favourites. Some include Thai films, Spanish, Korean, American, Japanese, and few more.

Here are some in my collection.

The Orphanage

The Autopsy of Jane Doe

Pengabdi Setan (Satan's Slave)
Slept with the lights on for 3 days after watching this in the cinema. I dont usually watch Indonesian horror film because in my experience, so far, they makes me scared the most.

The Conjuring
I watched this alone at the cinema. Big mistake. Lol

The Koreans make some really weird messed up stuff. It usually great though! 🤷‍♀️

@mistfox Keep us informed?!
mistfox · 36-40, F
@Harriet03 will do. So far the coast is safe. But will be vigilant. 👀

Guillermo del Toro is an incredible director. I doubt you could ever go wrong with him! I saw the Orphanage and that did send a few chills down the spine. I enjoy the classic Hitchcock’s also and directors that copy him like Brian DePalma with movies like “Dressed to kill” and “Body Double”.
Pfuzylogic · M
@mistfox I first came across his in “Dressed to kill” and then appreciated his skills for creating tension in so many others. Melanie Griffith played her best role in Body Double and I thought so much better than her daughter in “50 shades of gray”.
mistfox · 36-40, F
@Pfuzylogic I physically cringe at the mentioned of 50 shades. There are so many wrong things in that film and the book. Not enough research is one of em.
Pfuzylogic · M
@mistfox I felt exactly the same way.
It came across as a jerk being a bully.
They really did that style of sexuality an injustice. It is like any horror or fetish, so easy to get wrong!

The conjuring is the only one I heard of.
mistfox · 36-40, F
@smileylovesgaming I have childhood trauma because of that movie. I got rid of all my dolls after that.

@mistfox my dad he love's all those horror movie's. You know chucky and Jason and Freddy. Every time they was on we watch them. They never really bother me
mistfox · 36-40, F
@smileylovesgaming I was OK with Jason and Freddy. No idea why I was not OK with Chucky tho.

Cool your dad love horror movie. 😁 I can't watch horror movies with my dad. He'll spoil the mood. Lol he's more into action movies. It's only me and my sister who'd enjoy horror movies and then we're both get scared together. Strength in numbers I guess. Lol 😂

I love horror movies too. Thanks for the list, I’ll be checking them out! Have you watched A Tale of Two Sisters?
calibeachnudist · 51-55, M
The bed scene with the volume pumped up...👍@mistfox
mistfox · 36-40, F
@calibeachnudist with volume pumped up? I'd have mini heart attack. 😅

😂😂😂@mistfox
Beatbox34 · 31-35, M
I've seen some of these.

I'd recommend you add hereditary to the list as well.
mistfox · 36-40, F
@Beatbox34 oh nice! Which one?

I watched that movie when it came out. It was OK. Not scary for me.
@mistfox yeah I was pretty excited to see Hereditary when people were saying it was scarier than The Exorcist. It was pretty good for most of it but the ending was laughably bad and wrecked it for me.
mistfox · 36-40, F
@DrawntoaDistance I knowww!!!! Such a pity.
keith1701 · 51-55, M
I love the Conjuring universe and the Autopsy of jane doe. Also love the Changeling.
mistfox · 36-40, F
@keith1701 1980's The Changeling?

Glad you do enjoy them! There's another one that is similar to the autopsy of Jane Doe, it's called The Possession of Hannah Grace.

keith1701 · 51-55, M
@mistfox Yes the 1980's Changling with George C Scott.. Will look out for The Possession of Hannah Grace as never seen it x
senghenydd · M
Wow I simply like watching Western's starring John Wayne and the likes of him
mistfox · 36-40, F
@senghenydd ah. I've watched western movies in class last time and I find it not so enjoyable because I can't stand the film color and the dry landscape.
senghenydd · M
@mistfox Love the dry landscapes especially those boulders and the way they talk sadly I was born in the wrong age.
mistfox · 36-40, F
@senghenydd lol. The boulders huh. 😁
