I Like Horror Movies

This is my favorite time of year. Horror movies and themes everywhere. I most people prefer Christmas and Thanksgiving or the more loght hearted holidays over Halloween. Im not saying saying they aren't lovely holidays either. I just LOVE the month of October because of the horror all around 🎃❤

This is my favorite time of year, too. There's a local drive in that has an all night horror movie fest at the end of September, so we actually kick things off a little before October here. This year's all nighter started with The Thing, The Blob, and Funhouse, which was a blast. This year, I'm thinking about going heavy on the Hammer/Amicus films as well as some of the classic Universal movies.

@SW-User yeah ! That's what im talking about sounds like so much. Nothing beats the classics ! I like alot of the movies today but the classics like the thing, the brood, pet cemetery, cujo and alien. So many many more those made horror what it is today. I love them all !

The Brood 👍 I absolutely love Cronenberg's body horror movies. Those slow burn, psychological 70's movies are favorites of mine, too. "Don't Look Now", "The Changeling", "The Sentinel".... I could go on forever. 😆

My son and I attend a local horror con every summer, and the last few years have been great with all the 4K restorations they've screened. A few years ago, we got to screen the restored "Phantasm" with Don Coscarelli who did a Q&A before the movie. Last year, we attended the 4K screening of "Suspiria". If you haven't seen the remastered version of "Suspiria", I highly recommend you add that to your Halloween to-do list.

October is definitely an awesome month....but I'd say these last 3 months of the year always tend to be quite awesome. I'm so much happier this time of year than I am the other 9 months, lol.

@SW-User yes i definitely agree with this! Everyone just seems to be in the holiday spirits all together. Its rather nice!

@Dr3am Yea I guess it's just the festive nature of these months while the rest of the year is just a bit blah. I always hate how fast it goes by.

I just finish watch Texas chainsaw massacre. And I watch shining and conjuring last night on Netflix. That movie still freaks me out.

@smileylovesgaming oh yeah the shinning is truly a classic it gets under your skin. So does the conjuring but in different ways it had alot of great jump scares. Did you like Annabelle?

What horror? You mean like a few kids walking around on the week of the 31st with ghost masks on asking for chocolate? Supermarkets full of "halloween-themed" useless trash?

@lorelei hmmm... Well maybe in your town. My town decorates for the whole month and has events. I'm sorry to hear you feel so ill hearted towards something that's just meant to be fun.

Halloween isn't all about tge decorations to me and even if it were yes i do love to see the children in their masks chasing each other playing and enjoying themselves.

Lighten up little ;)
