I Don't Say I Love You Unless I Mean It

I work the night shift and I have so many customers come in and say before they leave "Love you and stay safe" or just "I love you" and just think: you don't even know me. It always throws me off when people just throw that phrase at me. I feel bad that I just let it sink into the ground. I feel people expect me to throw it back but to me the word "love" holds so much more meaning than others may give it.

Saying "I love you" to a stranger does not mean the same as good bye people
