I Have to Say Every Cloud Has a Silver Lining

A Nebula of Accumulated Numbness

On a light breeze..., I pass.
But sometimes wind just isn't welcome.
Still I roll by. As solid as the mist.
Just a passing cloud of sorts, I guess.
Despite my eagerness to please.
My shadow is never viewed as shade or respite.
But rather something that blocks the sunshine.
A thing that tempers a more wanted warmth.
The truest nature of the cloud is oft misunderstood.
Assumed murky, or hazed.
An obfuscation.
Drifting and pushed away by the currents.
I drop my waters and disperse.
Sorry for being what I am.
For not being more.
But clouds such as I....
Will only ever be what I've been.
For I am not the sky.
I just dwell within it.
I am not the wind.
I am borne upon it.
I am not the rain
It's waters flow from me
I am not the darkness.
I am shade.

Who is the Snowdog? I like this writing.
HikingMan · 51-55, M
It's my pen name.
@HikingMan Why that name? If you don't mind me asking...

It's a really really long story.
To make it a bit shorter I suppose I could say that I once had a D&D character named Bytor of the Snowdogs....
