What would you say is the best and most effective way to lose weight and keep it off for good? [I Need Weight Loss Advice]

All about eating habits and cardio.

And cardio doesn't have to be running. If you can walk for multiple hours, that would be way more effective than running for half an hour

:food swaps - i.e. swapping some of your favourites for a healthier lower fat / carb version . some my swaps are granary bread instead of white. Sweetener instead of sugar, cottage cheese instead of full fat etc etc

: increase your water intake by min 750mls easy to do after a while , especially in this weather

: increase your step count
: increase liquid meals soups etc
: invest in a vibration plate - and step on it once a day
just a few mindful changes like these & you wont feel you are on a constant diet.

I also started a dance-a-cise routine, 10 - 15 mins each day ( dancing around to music ) although the problem with that was TOO MUCH weight began falling off. As I never wanted to be supper skinny - I stopped.

All in 3 yrs back I lost a couple of stones, and with no further effort required on my part - I've not put any of it back on

Push away from the table.
There is no secret or special pill. Eat less and exercise more and you will lose weight. It takes time, you didn't put it on overnight and you wont take it off quickly either.
Cut way back on fat, salt and sugar.

Eat more healthy, raw fruit and veggies, whole grain, lean meats like chicken, fish, seafood. Bake or boil, don't fry the meat.

Don't eat deep fried foods like french fries, etc.

Drink about 8 glasses of water a day.

Avoid soda, ice cream, cake, candy, cookies, etc.

Exercise and walk everyday. At least 15-30 minutes minimum.

You do the above you will be on your way to being height/weight proportionate in no time.

well, i went Mediterranean recently and i feel better. but i don't lose weight unless i starve and that is not good.

i hate the idea of intermittent fasting. any kind of fasting is not good for you. mark my words it will be just like when i was against vaping. i kept asking how that was any different from smoking and a year later, it was found to be worse in some ways. *shakes cane in air*

amputate your arms

You lose a fair amount of weight instantly and it makes opening the fridge and kitchen cabinets incredibly hard so chances are you'll eat a lot less
