The tragedy is not that Moria got burned, it's that it existed in the first place. [I Am Worried About Refugees To European Countries]

Moria, Europe's largest refugee camp, caught fire during protests; this article mentions some organizations you can donate to if you feel like it.

The tragedy is that those freedom loving people, the Greeks, have been so obscenely beset by one avoidable cataclysm after another..in their cultural well being in the recent 75 years or so.

I just saw a film about how ancient feminism held out the LONGEST in and around Crete back then when they were destroying the female gods and replacing them with the newer religions of dominance...

@Elevatorpitches nothing was ever perfect here, there have been good things, but at the same time there was always greed and a will to dominate over the less fortunate... I guess that's pretty much everywhere.
@HannibalAteMeOut I loved that book/film Zorba.

Something about that place....
That's horrible. Nobody should be left to live like that, they're still human beings.

Do you think Greece has to welcome thousands of refugees with open arms while it has its own countless problems? I just want to know what you think.

@HannibalAteMeOut I admire your point of view.
Yes, I wish we lived in a world without borders, countries, and nationalities, where everyone could live freely. But unfortunately, this is how the world is. When Germany accepts thousands of refugees every year, it is not because of humanity and other good intentions. It's because they need cheap labor. Everyone is looking for his benefits here.
However, I can understand Greece's situation here. Greece is not responsible for them. It was not Greece that started wars in the Middle East or colonialism in Africa. Other Western countries did that, and they're so pathetic that they are using Greece as a shield now.

@LookingForTheSummer thank you 🖤 yes unfortunately that's how it is. The more fortunate have an ethical obligation to help those less fortunate in my opinion, or we'd be not where we are today as a species. Political agendas have fucked it up sadly.

@HannibalAteMeOut You are right. I just wish those who are responsible for this were paying.
I think things will get even worse, and we humans will sink even lower.

Like with many things in our primitive society
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@Hasmita you know how things over there have been all these years... These people need a real place to live.

@HannibalAteMeOut Absolutely and the opportunity to participate in and share their skills and talents and rich culture within European society and their young to be inspired rather than fearful and terrified.
