I Have a Cat [Cats]

The most difficult thing I ever had to do...was to leave my Charlie in a shelter for two months while I was in between moving from my old place to where I live now.

(I stayed with my grandmother for a while and Charlie couldn't stay there because my grandmother has birds and my grandmother feels like she's to old to keep an eye on a cat hunting for her birds)

My heart broke having to leave him there, I was crying, because I found it the worst part of having to move. I also knew I didn't have another choice.
I found him a place, where he could go outside, and the people of the shelter...I saw them thinking I would never come back to get him.
But they were wrong...
I wanted to see him regularly, so I visited Charlie at least every two weeks (it was far, had to take 2 busses but I didn't care) and stayed with him for a bit.
I was thankful to the people in the shelter to let me be near him, so I could go and hold him and play with him if he wanted.

And everytime I left, he was looking at me like: are you going to leave me here alone again? I will never forget.
The last visit I told him: next time I'll be coming for you and we go home together.
Once I moved in here, I immediately went to get him back (yup tears of joy and relief), and hope...I have to never ever do this again!
Because my Charlie...has been my support and still is. He's funny, cuddly and playful and....nuts like me hahaha. Love him heaps!
He follows me everywhere, and likes to wake me up in the morning, tell me in his own way to get up and play with him by bringing his furry ball to me on the bed.

He's about 2 years old now...adopted him from a shelter, and hope he'll be with me a long time. He and I got this 'click'/bound...inseperatable ;-)

Did you notice him a bit angry at the beginning? I tell you bc when I had to take my doggie in the hospital when I took her back home, she seems angry, bug perhaps it was only a feeling on my part.

no not angry but he was stressed though, because of all the changes, and he didn't trust me at the beginning, thinking I would leave him again I'm guessing. But not angry no.

Oh, I can guess how hard it was for you this separation and the kitty had to be pretty lost.
Hope you both enjoy and share together for a long long time.

I like cats so much. I like feeding stray cats and they become good friends. Visit me daily for hello.😀😀😀😀😀
Beautiful post.

Glad to hear you are together again.

Oh we do ty :-) I do think that he forgot about the whole experience, or at least forgave me for doing that to him (he sure seems to have forgiven me), it's been almost a year now :-)
