I Believe In Chivalry

“I see lots of women carrying packages and loading heavy items into the trunk of their cars while men walk beside them and play on their phones! And they stand behind the woman waiting for her to open the door for herself and for him!! Where did the 'gentlemen' go?” ~ my friend Mary Ann Warren on Facebook

I pity men sometimes they are damned if they do and damned if they don't. Some women get mad if they help and others feel put out if they don't help. In that situation I can't say I blame them for trying not to get involved.

I'd prefer men to walk around wearing plate mail and travel the realm helping the poor folk.

LOL Now that is extreme chivalry. It's almost as way out as extreme ironing.@Fangirlsarah1996

I have found that the vast majority of women do appreciate this. I was in a restaurant a while back and I remained standing until my lady friend had taken her seat. I smiled to myself as a woman - one of a group at an adjacent table - nudged the guy next to her with her elbow and said, "See that. That's what you are supposed to do."
After his puzzled response I could se she was explaining it to him point by point. 😆

I always offer to carry bags and I open doors and say ladies before gentlemen. Unfortunately I find that some women call me sexist and chauvinist for this but this will not stop me. I'm afraid that political correctness is killing of chivalry.

I tend to be a package-carrier, door-opener, and even – gasp! – chair-holder. A positive dinosaur! ;-)

Oh I still love to open the door for my wife and she still gets embarrased everytime ☺
Well if that was me I'd be carrying the packages for the ladies

Feminism wants this very thing to end.
