I Will Take As Many Words As I Want To Write This Story

Of Tapes

[c=#800000][i]There are times we just want to press
Rewind as we used to do with tapes.
The joy the opening songs brought
Us then was memorable.

We'd sing.
We'd smile.

But life is not like that.
We live in the present that does
Not allow the same rewinds.
At least not that I've found.

Life is a roller coaster of emotions
And feelings. High's and Low's. Peak and Valleys.
It's singular; solitary. And yet it's
Worth so much more with another to ride with.

We'd laugh.
We'd sigh.

Never walk away from a good thing. Be patient.
Listen to the sound of their love. Of their pain.
For pain has a voice too. Listen to the sound of your
Name on their tongue. Is it as music?

Know that you are worth all of their love.
And never settle for second best. And they matter-
-Never let them forget it. Life it too short for
rewinds. The song never sounds the same anyways.

It's because life is terrible at playbacks.

@Peaches Thank You/ I believe it was Thomas Wolfe that said "You Can't go Home Again". I find that--that rewind, a task I'd rather not undertake.

@Elandra77 I agree. 馃様

This is really good. And I don鈥檛 say that lightly.
@SmartKat Thank You so much. I'm glad I was able to reach you with this.

I'm not sure where this came from but I'm glad it did.
