I Will Take As Many Words As I Want To Write This Story

Cleansing---

[c=#BF0080]She emerges from her forest as quickly as a leaf may fall from a tree. Which is to say she had no steady gait and no specific purpose or time to the rhythm of her steps but rather her heart was still absorbing the wonderment of nature and the elements it commands.

It commands the trees to stand straight and tall, with greenery in the spring and summer and offers a palette of wonder in the fall as it causes the trees and shrubs to mute the problems of the outside world as only a forest can. It was true the pitter patter of the rain, ever petulant or not, could hide her tears and her weeping should that be her cause for being there and yet a walk in the rain washed the soul and much as the mind. The forest muted that effect and left her feeling dry and offered her refuge many times.

And I have to wonder that today if was not refuge;solace and perhaps peace, that she sought? Or was it a drowning of the sounds of the her reality, of her outside world and the chaos in it, that she sought escape from?

She was a lithe women. Slender at 33 and yet time had began to creep up on her. However in her case that only seemed to accentuate her beauty and being. She was brunette with brown eyes that could burn through to the soul of a person! Couple that with a sly and seductive smile at times that I am sure she sent many men into fits of fantasy! That same smile was also one of the warmest one may want to see.

But I believe her sexiest quality was not her smile or any sly and "come hither" stare. Or how her hair framed her face only to be accentuated by her brows and eye color. I'm sure one could say that as she emerged from the forest, now drenched with her hair pasted to her scalp and face and her clothes now clinging as they can to her body may make her as such for some.

NAY! That was not it. Never was. Rain was a circumstance of time and hair could be colored. I had watched her far too long in her interactions with others to know that the sexiest thing about her was the kindness and generosity she exuded to others-stranger or not. It was more than simple charm and grace that I saw. It was dignity, compassion and and a certain je n'est ce quoi that she had. Sincerity defined her well.

I had wondered what she found so cleaning about the forest. Was it the privacy? The solitude? The way nature is a grand equalizer? Or was it another escape she sought?

I had many times wished to take that walk with her--and yet--and yet I knew what she seeked would not be found with another. I was content with that as there can be a oneness in the solitude of our own thoughts.

Perhaps I need my own walk in a densely lit forest?

Another great piece of writing..I do so enjoy what you have been posting in this challenge.
@DayDreaming2 Thank You. I love to write and yet I need inspired to do so. A muse so to speak. This may not be that but it is a challenge and one I find rather enjoying. I'm happy you have been liking my replies.

I absolutely love this piece, I spent countless hours wandering alone when I was young.
@BexEyes So did I. I found peace and contentment in those walks. I believe we need those walks now and again.

Oooh... this is wonderful! It draws the reader in. The cleansing walk, and freeing of the mind. So well done!
@CCMorgan Thank You. I love writing in this tense (person) as it can often tell a story first person cannot. It lets the mind wander and the heart frolic. If we try, very hard, we can place ourselves beside them and perhaps seek out our own solace.

It is brilliant. I need to work on they way I present stories... as it was pointed out to me that I changed perspectives. I think it happened when I broke from writing, then came back to finish several times... I’m not a pro at writing; I’m decent with my grammar skills but I have much to learn 😌
I certainly enjoy reading talented pieces like this! @Elandra77

Beautiful! I truly look forward to your posts each week and this one did not disappoint. Thanks for sharing!
@SW-User Thank You. There is a certain balance, a cleansing of sorts in the universe. Where, if we are quiet enough and listen our problems can seem very small and insignificant. And we may leave with your the perspective we needed.

I love taking a walk on the sensual side. I love this.
@Fungirlmmm As do I. It offers us perspectives we would not get otherwise.

You really took me there with this one, 😌 love it!🌳💗🌲🍀
@Peaches I'm glad. It was a fun piece to write and to attempt to place at a point and locale in time. It's reminiscent of "Our Last Walk Together" and "My Walk Alone" yet it is far different. I love the solace of the forest myself.

Thank You for loving this.

Lovely and I think perhaps you do need to take that walk. It’s very grounding to be in solitude in nature. 🤗💗
