It's just the human nature orientation to find a way to feel superiour over some other group of people. It doesn't justify racism, but sadly it showcases it's an inherent part of human nature.

@SW-User colorism is very prominent in the Black community. You have dark skin Black people versus light skin Black people and it's all so fukin stupid.

@empanadas @iamelijah @TurtlePink Ah right. I understand now. Thanks. In that case, upon initial examination, it would seem that it is linked to racism. It seems to come from the same premise.

@SW-User Even the person is the same race with them, the person still didn't get much attention.

Even in my community, working in entertainment industry fair skinned is more focused and praised.

It's rare to find the dark skinned even me.
