I Am a Parent

Sometimes I feel overwhelmed .... last night my daughter got bit by something! I don’t know what and I’m very worried. She is so allergic to every thing. I tried all types of creams to soothe her... and all she did was squirm in reaction of the burn/allergy. It’s been 24 hours she’s okay— she’s not I’ll but she complains that it hurts still. Now I don’t know if the day old rash is due to creams or the bites...The rash looks like a day old burnt speckles. I feel as if I have NO one to help me have a doctor look at it... I know she’s going to be okay but... I’m so worried. I can’t call in sick. We already spent the day off for the dentist. Now this? I have to hope she’s fine. It just freaks me out. I just don’t know where this bite came from... she sat on a LEATHER sofa and felt the sudden bite. We were out in the garden before. No one else got anything ... why my daughter????? It’s been 24 hours. She fine but the rash is more speckled? What if it’s something g crazy like scabies? I just can’t stand that I have a 12 hour day tomorrow!!!!!! I feel so alone and helpless. I have to trust she’s fine and will heal in 7 days. I can’t stand not being certain!!!! I tend to over react. I just need to wait it out. It’s only 24 hours and she had a normal active day plus cheer.

Update: the swelling came down after 48 hours. Everything g turned out fine! Thanks guys!

I hope that all turned out okay. Here's a story I posted a while back in connection with skin issues. I don't know if it would help for things like spider bites but it might. If you have one of these plants in your garden then keep it in mind in future because it might help.

Yes thank you. The ONLY thing that didn’t cause a Burning reaction was Vaseline...@Wraithorn I keep all those Anti itch burni antibiotics natural aloe burts bee products at home. Thank you

See if your hospital or a clinic has the video appointments...the hospital i used to work at offered those. That way you don't have to miss work

Spray a little Benadryl on it. She should be fine. If no reaction by now, she’s fine

I'm sure she will be fine, just keep an eye on it. They also have drs you can go on camera with online and show it to them.

If you have a bite you are worried about draw around the area you see affected and note the time, then you will be able to tell if it's spreading and how quickly. But it really does sound like it may have just been some bug thats not dangerous to her, but dont feel like you are over reacting when its your kid. I always prefer the better safe than sorry option
