I Want to Be Understood By Just One Person

That's a bad position to be in but not impossible to deal with. You have the easier side though, because you could know how to explain something perfectly but you will still be at the mercy of what the other person allows themselves to understand.

There have been plenty of times when I have explained something perfectly but it wasn't enough. And sometimes it will happen. You can't make someone understand, you can only provide clarity if they ask for it, which is rare.

that's a tough predicament. It's almost best to walk away at that point, but walking away is easier said than done. Lips must have much stronger muscles than the legs.

I think that's an ideal. I think good communication is also necessary just to be able to deal with individual differences, amongst other things.

I think we all long for someone who takes the time and effort to get to know and understand who we really are...

Or worse yet .. they understand fine, but just don't give a damn ..
