The first time I had my first introduction to Affogato al Caffe was on holiday some years back in Italy. We had a little apartment in a villa outside Venice. Because it was by a beach on the far side of the lagoon we had to take the water taxi into St Mark's Square to sightsee and eat out. A little taste of Italy at home is always good. Vanilla gelato or ice cream glass. Top with hot expresso. A shot of amaretto hits the spot. But simply love coffee however it comes.
