Wearing a tail in public is ok and can be cool. Just make sure that you are not the only person doing it. There is a reason why the Furries I have met tend to travel as a pack.

Well don't worry it I only recently got into the fandom. I mean you don't have to pass any test to get into it. The people I have met seem nice and friendly.
