@ordinaryguy I don't know how your government works. I think Erdogan has a lot more power than Trump does, correct? We have Congress and the courts, so the power is supposed to be split up rather than concentrated in the executive.

@Lila15 yes unfortunately over the years Erdogan increased his power. which is really bad for our democracy but it is really hard to reverse it :(

@ordinaryguy Some of us are concerned about the same thing in the U.S., where Congress has been giving up more of their authority to the Executive branch for decades. It's less of an issue because the president can't serve more than 8 years, so at least it's not the same person.

@Overwatch6 You should like Buttigieg - he's an Afghan War veteran, he has more military experience than any president since George H.W. Bush, and he's a regular churchgoer.
