UK Prime Minister Theresa May sets out her 'What's next'?

Yes already listened to it in depth .I just wonder if some of our MPs are thick as she had to repeat several times that if we are to rule out a no deal then we need to leave with a deal .It has already been passed into law that we must leave on the 29th of March ,deal or No deal .So if they want to rule out no deal then they must get together and sort out a deal that the majority of the house can agree . Staying in the Custom Union is NOT leaving the EU .Some seem to think staying in a custom union is leaving the EU .What part of LEAVING THE EU didn't they get .

@Kenscoff jeez you don't pay attention "Its enshrined in law " Parliament cant do anything without passing new laws which parliament all have to agree as do the EU if they want to extend or resind article 50 .If they want to have another referendum it cant be done in time so that leaves 2 choices deal or no deal .We cant do anything else once law has been passed and signed off by the queen.

Please can we have another public vote to settle it, once and for all!
Nyloncapes · 61-69, M
@Picklebobble2 yes it makes you wonder ,
Nyloncapes · 61-69, M
@TheConstantGardener not a worry but it's not right we had one and now time to honour the result, as if we did have another one the remainers would still not accept it and we would still be in the same boat
Rhodesianman · 56-60, M
@TheConstantGardener No its been passed into law there is no second vote .

@Harriet03 And she's paid millions for it too.
Nyloncapes · 61-69, M
She is absolutely clueless out of her depth, she will always be a remainer
Nyloncapes · 61-69, M
@gol979 you are so right people who voted to leave are being classed as racists and stupid , 17.5 million of them ,included in them are multi millionaires and billionaires, and very intelligent people and successful people, who voted , people voted for controlled immigration not a full stop to it
gol979 · 41-45, M
@Nyloncapes no doubt there are straight up racists who voted to leave, purely on the basis of closing up.the borders. That's why people like Tommy Robinson are using it to mobilise....but as I said this is a very small minority.

On the flip side you have remainers who are free market, austerity loving psychos.

There's no catch all term for both sets of voters even though that's who is is being spun out in mainstream and some not mainstream media
Nyloncapes · 61-69, M
@gol979 yes there was and still is tiny pathetic morons who voted for Brexit as you said they are just out and out racists ,
gol979 · 41-45, M
Yet again showed contempt of parliament. Was supposed to come back with plan B today and have a vote. Surprise, surprise not happening until 29th Jan
gol979 · 41-45, M
@Kenscoff it's not just her.....it's the complicity of the mainstream media to just be a mouthpiece for the government. Most times the BBC are just showing a Tory party political broadcast. Obviously many other factors, but if the 5th establishment did it's job then I don't think we would be here

@Kenscoff seems like our standards for journalism are slightly at odds......where are all the proper journalists.....culled because they don't toe the line.

Wasn't that long ago John pilger was on the mainstream news (maybe late 90s early 00s, actually quite a while ago). Voices like his are dead in the mainstream. Now you just have sycophants.

Check out Carne Ross' take on how the government and press works. He was involved in the government and knows what goes on

Theresa May or Theresa May Not.
nuddie · 61-69, M
We’ve already had a vote and the majority voted leave, we didn’t vote for a deal we just voted leave, leave on WTO rules, simple.
Wol62 · 51-55, M
@nuddie But that only covers trade, there is more to leaving than that!

Either she will get a decision on the backstop and with a few tweeks get get traitorous deal through...or...extend art 50....or...have another referendum.....too many un democratic traitors to get a no deal through...
Platinum · M
@gol979 we will always have nut jobs in government...a strong negotiator would get a good deal for the uk...the eu are scared, but May won't exploit the fact what most people can see..
gol979 · 41-45, M
@Platinum well you have way more faith in an individual than me.
And she is trying to scare them with no deal
Platinum · M
@gol979 I have no faith in her...she has put back plan b until 29 January
Rhodesianman · 56-60, M
People don't get it .Once something is passed into law by government and the queen its a long process to counter that .We would be way past March the choice now is simple No deal or deal that's it .
