I Loved Someone That Didn't Love Me

My ex deserves much more than someone of his equal.. He deserves someone who makes him feel like he made me feel.

Loretta, I wonder the same thing almost daily. My husband surely tried to kill me.. Many many times. That's how I got away,actually. The day I ran away, I was laying on the floor, bloody, in the living room. I could hear him in the kitchen, pacing and talking to himself out loud. When I was able to concentrate on what he was saying, I realized he was planning out what to do with my body. He thought he'd killed me. Suddenly it hit me, if I didn't get up and run - he would. So I somehow got up and to the front door, and ran. I made it to a small shopping center where I saw a man on a laptop & asked him to please let me email my family in California. I was in Florida. He let me, and stayed with me until help came. I ran away around 9 am with only the clothes on my back. I'm still technically married because I'm too afraid to file for divorce and give up my location.
But part of me wonders if that choice to run.. Was the wrong one.

@ lalasway1: That´s just TERRIBLE!!! I can understand that you are afraid because of your "loving husband" but nevertheless you should try to divorce! I really advice you that!! I even left my country because of my husband, and he tried many years to find me, but I´ve tried to live as anonymously as I could and he never got me till today!
I don´t know if there are possiblities to protect you when you want to divorce. Just check it up!! Don´t be married with an asshole like that!! I am sorry for my words. Normally I don´t use such word, but what you´ve written is worst!!

Hope all gonna be ok, its easy to write nice words to cheer u up, but going through all this require too much strength, dont give up. Happiness a head. Look forward and move on ...all the best

I am sorry for all this where you´ve gone through.
I´ve made the same experience like you - only still more worst! And I am in the same age. I am 38 years old, too. I have survived my marriage anyhow, but sometimes I wonder now if it would have not been better that I would have been killed, because I´ve gone now 38 years through an absolutely loveless life. I´ve never been loved, but the memory of many bad experiences are troubling me. :-(
