I liked the original trilogy, as it started up when I was 14, exactly the perfect age to fall in love with it.
The prequels had their issues, which fan boiz have harped on ad infinitum. That being said, they were beautifully designed and added a lot of depth to the franchise overall. And the Darth Maul vs. Qui Gon and Obi Wan fight is probably second only to the Darth Vader vs. Luke fight in Jedi.
The sequels... Force Awakens had a lot of promise, which makes sense, because pretty much everything JJ does starts off with lots of promise. Last Jedi was perhaps the most sophisticated and complex of all the Star Wars movies. It was a logical extension of concepts introduced in Force Awakens, and was unquestionably second only to Empire in the entire series. Rise of Skywalker was, honestly, terrible in so many ways, most notably because it added so much fan service that it derailed the story. Highly disappointing.
Overall, I'd have to go with the original trilogy, but honestly, I love Star Wars as a whole in spite of its many and varied faults. Also, the television expansions add so much to the stories overall, both the cartoon series and The Mandalorian, as did the spin-off films.
All that being said, while I will no doubt continue to enjoy whatever Star Wars pops up as time goes by, I'm really ready for something new. Just as Star Wars grew out of the Flash Gordon serials of the '30s, among other influences, I'm eager to see new properties that grow out of and expand upon what Star Wars has done.
