That's basically me. I've long gone to church at least most Sundays and actually at other times too. But hardly usually for religion.

I play at my parents' church sometimes when I'm home (as I did today in fact, Easter Day 2019)...I think my old organ teacher (who is the regular organist) is proud of me so idk....don't want to blow my own trumpet but it's fun and people are appreciative, and t it's a lovely instrument and fairly large for a village church (and in good repair) so you can play quite a variety of amazing music.


At college in London I am on the dep list for several church choirs (ie they suddenly need an extra soprano and I sing for that service, either random Sunday mornings but more usually an evensong which are lovely services, really quintessentially English but not in am in-your-face way, and amazing music), and sometimes on the organ at a few others...again mostly in other peoples' emergences!

I often go to evensong at Westminster Abbey on weekdays if I've got nothing else on. Not so much the religion itself but the rhythm of the liturgy and the music...

So I don't know....

I love going to Church. I don't know where formal religion comes into it for me. But it absolutely touches my soul.
