Can someone explain something to me?
What is the problem about wearing a mask that covers just half of your face? I really don't get why some are still crying about it 🤔.

I think the bigger question is why are so many vacinnated or previosuly infected people scared to show their faces again ? It's the new social phobia...
I had covid and was vaccinated back in March since I have COPD. Masks make it hard for me to breath. I'm not wearing one just to make paranoid people feel better. I'd hit the mega millions before I got or spread covid at this point.
The whole mask thing was Fauci lie anyway. My wife is a nurse, medical professionals all knew the masks they OK'd were only good for bank robbers to hide behind. At work they wear the high end masks not what you see people walking down the street with.

@LordShadowfire There is no standard for what you can wear as a mask. It could be a bandana. A mask is type of filtration, filters are measured in microns. These home sewn masks are a joke, hold them up to light and you can see through them.
It's the anything is better than nothing that is the BS. They have created hysteria and given little guidance on what actually works. In fact studies have shown that some materials can actually atomize droplets further.
If you wonder why many don't buy into the whole mask debate that is part of the reason. As I said before I had covid, I have the antibodies plus I was vaccinated. I'm done wearing masks to appease others that don't understand the science of masks and air filtration.

@jezme I absolutely agree that the homemade masks are a joke. But I don't think you're listening to what I'm saying. There are plenty of companies making decent quality masks for very little money.

Health regulators surely know better than me and you whether and which types of masks function; if it was simply a matter of filtering droplets and there weren't other mechanisms taken into account you'd be mandated to wear a FFP2/N95, or a HEPA filter at most.

They love being dramatic; feeling superior than others (I think the technical term is [i]sheeps[/i]), automatically just by disobeying authority; and this also gives them the chance of their life at being the centre of the attention for once, since they're normally condemned to irrelevance. The combination of these, along with the fact their brain doesn't typically exceed the size of a coffee bean, is unfortunately fatal.

@Slade I'm more worried about real freedoms. wearing a mask during a global pandemic to keep people safe as possible is not an infringement of freedom, it's respect for your fellow humans. Just like I have the freedom to own a gun. I don't have the freedom to walk into a crowded place and start firing it recklessly and randomly.

I don't care about wearing a mask..but I thought I'd opt out the vaccine since I'm not that high risk of getting sick..but I was told I had to get vaccinated to protect the vulerable..so I don't pass the virus to them. I get vaccinated and now I'm told I have to keep wearing a mask because I can still spread the virus...so what was the vaccine for???

Masks suck. Especially during summer , your face gets all sweaty. And for people who are active like me , it’s a nightmare, the mask gets soaking wet and it’s nasty. Plus some have horrible chemical smells. I still wear them and I believe everyone should wear one properly (covering their noses) til we are told to get rid of them. But I can understand and I know why some people hate them.
