Why do some people start trippin' when someone disagrees with them in the slightest?

Fear and insecurity about being different, not being compliant, about reprisals for not belonging to a group, peer pressure, about deviating from the norm. Plain old fear and insecurity. It takes inner strength and confidence to stand up for yourself and apart from the crowd.

The bubble wrap generation.....they are easily offended

Because the ego gets hurt. And cognitive dissonance kicks in.

Yep. It’s disappointing. Very disappointing but we have to respect people.

Some people read much more into your point of view than you might mean. For example.
Someone could say that they were proud to be white and I could read into that as racist.
Its not racist to be proud to be white but due to my own personal experience and perhaps with real merit behind my point of view I could become very angry and take it as an insult that you uttered this in my presence.
Thats just a small example.
