Here's a riddle guys

Algae grows on a lake and doubles in size every day. After 48 days it covers the entire lake. How many days did it take for it to cover just half the lake?

If it doubles in size every day, it would take longer to cover half the lake, but less time to cover the rest of it. So is the answer 47?
@Allelse you got it!

@boklenholley7 That's a surprise I'm normally bloody terrible with riddles.
@Allelse Haha I doubt that :p this one took some thought from me at first honestly.

But it's already covered with lake. It needs to find a new lake. 🤦🏻‍♂️

@boklenholley7 I know it's 47. 😛
@SW-User I figured xD but thanks for the funny comment!

47 days for half the lake,then 1 more day to cover the other half of the lake.
Should be a group BA. My first thought was 24, then, nah - too easy. 😁
@Mamapolo2016 right?! Mine too. Definitely took me second. That's why Ihad to share it xD

Obviously 47 days, or am I missing something here!
@JoeXP you got it!

@MrAboo nope.Read this riddle in a book that used it as an example of how the mental short cuts we often take can lead us astray. Thought it was interesting 🤷‍♀️

Not a riddle, a math problem...

(A1 - A1*2^48)/(1 + 2) = 1

Find out A1 and then do the same in reverse for 0.5 and replacing 48 with n
