Immature #1. Aged 14 months my father walked out never to be seen again allegedly over the gender of his third child.
Immature #2. For the rest of her life my mother gave her christian beliefs a higher priority then the wellbeing of her kids and flatly refused to contemplate the prospect of a replacement father.
For 40 years I was the only male in the entire family and the consequences of having no male role models devastated both me and my sisters. She may have meant well, but she totally failed to prepare us for adulthood.

Thanks friend. It literally took me half a lifetime to get everything straight in my head but it also provided meaning and direction to my life which I'm totally happy with so all things considered I can't complain. 👍️ :-) @traceavery
